“Our healing is dependent upon our ability to be fully present with ourselves, each other, and the earth.”

— Brighton Sage Loughlin

This page is intended to serve as a concise story about why I am so passionate the healing arts.

The beliefs, values, ideals, and philosophies that I share with you are but a testament to this human experience that we all share.

I come from the beautiful paradise of Mount Shasta, tucked all the way in the northernmost parts of California. Mount Shasta is the Root Chakra of the Earth. As a result, it has a unique and rich history in the realms of spirituality and transcendentalism. There are numerous legends centered around ancient civilizations and spiritual ascensions on Mount Shasta.

I am deeply grateful to have grown up there for a number of reasons. From drinking the fresh mountain water daily to exploring all of the outdoor sports that are possible in the area, I grew up with a close relationship to the natural world. That relationship has shaped me into the expression that I am more than anything else.

Throughout my life, I have always been very tuned into form—that is, the anatomy and physicality of things. From appreciating the grooves and ridges on the slopes of a mountain to the faint creases and wrinkles in someone’s face, there is always a story of time to be told. I’ve always payed close attention to that story because it holds powerful information about how someone/something got to where and how they are now. This natural affinity that I have is a gift that I share with my communities.

What I am here to offer is presence. In my presence I am able to listen to the bodies, minds, and hearts of my clients and offer my services, impart my knowledge and wisdom, and facilitate their healing.

I do not heal anyone.

I help my clients heal themselves through helping them become present within their mind, body, heart, and spirit. It’s through the variety of massage therapies, breathwork, and movement coaching that I deliver this service.

Beyond my private practice, I travel throughout the West Coast and Mexico offering workshops on healing through breathe and movement. In a day and age when our collective mental health is suffering, I am driven build community that is focused on inner healing. This is a big part of why I lead classes.

I am a firm believer in empowerment. In fact, if I were to use one word to describe what I do it would be that word. Why? Because as a holistic bodyworker, I see the journey to health and vitality as more about unlocking latent systems than following the well-beaten path of consumerism. In other words, we can find what we are looking for within ourselves...

As we begin to re-experience a visceral reconnection with the needs of our bodies, there is a brand new capacity to warmly love the self. We experience a new quality of authenticity in our caring, which redirects our attention to our health, our diets, our energy, our time management. This enhanced care for the self arises spontaneously and naturally, not as a response to a “should.” We are able to experience an immediate and intrinsic pleasure in self-care.
— Stephen Cope, Yoga and the Quest for the True Self

Waking up a sense of awareness in the body seems to, in a roundabout way, have an effect on other aspects of life. There is a profound truth to be found in engaging in the practice of self-love and self-care- it extends beyond the self. To be in a state of balance or homeostasis within- on both physical and metaphysical levels- empowers us to be fit for service, to be engaged with our crafts, to be present with those we love.

So to bring it full circle, this is what I am passionate about. I find immense fulfillment in helping others live a healthy life that feels true to them.
